ANet BBS — Development

• Linux system
• Python 3.13+
• No external Python dependencies (Milestone 1)

python3 run_server.py

First run will:

• Create `data/anet.db`
• Prompt for SysOp password
• Start telnet listener

Connect with:

telnet localhost 2323

• Favor clarity over cleverness
• Preserve original CNet behavior where practical
• Comment asyncio code extensively
• Avoid unnecessary dependencies

• One responsibility per module
• Explicit state machines
• No global state leakage
• Configuration centralized in `config.py`
